Michael Figueiredo is percussionist originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. He has shared the stage with many of todays top jazz and latin musicians such as Eric Harland, John Santos, DJ LOGIC, Nicholas Payton, and many more!! as a teenager Michael was constantly performing and recording in the Bay Area as well as touring California and the Midwest!! chosen to play in the SF Jazz High School Allstars, the bay area’s exclusive, award winning high school jazz ensemble and was able to study with jazz masters including the entire SF Jazz Collective, Mccoy Tyner, Archie Shepp, Nicholas Payton and more.
Michael has Traveled to MATANZAS and HABANA, CUBA to study with legendary folkloric dance and drum groups Muniquitos De Matanzas, Afro Cuba de Matanzas, Raices Profundas, and Yoruba Andabo. Michael is a student at BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC in Boston, MA where he studies and performs regularly.
